Una creatività spasmodica, partorita da una mano sapiente, colpevole e ignara, contraddistingue le creazioni artistiche di Laurence Marchant. L'artista, belga di nascita, ma che vive in Italia da ben 14 anni, nel suo percorso formativo ha trovato nel legno il materiale che più le permette di esprimere una forza che è allo stesso tempo prorompente e delicata, smussata da vincoli accademici. Nel tempo, "Tiger Fish" è divenuto simbolo e firma della produzione di Laurence, tanto da rendere lo squalo, il pescecane, un soggetto artistico divertente e connotato da una semplicità e uno stile quasi da cartoon, da fumetto. A spasmodic creativity, born from a wise, guilty and unaware hand, distinguishes the artistic creations of Laurence Marchant. The artist, Belgian by birth, but who has lived in Italy for 14 years, in her training path has found in wood the material that best allows her to express a strength that is at the same time bursting and delicate, blunted by academic constraints. Over time, "Tiger Fish" has become a symbol and signature of Laurence's production, so much so as to make the shark, the dogfish, a fun artistic subject characterized by an almost cartoon-like simplicity and style.
