Floricica Domnica Ciucur a început această pasiune din dragoste pentru portul popular de aproximativ 3 ani. Având experiențe în croitorie, cosit și broderit, încă din copilărie doamna Floricica și-a dorit de mult să își creeze propriile obiecte vestimentare și articole artizanate, toate cu motive tradiționale. Lucrând de mână și cu mașina de brodat, aceasta a început să colecționeze cât mai multe modele de brodat și să realizeze costumul popular autentic așa cum și-a dorit, cu toate detaliile și motivele tradiționale. Născută în Mugești, într-o zonă de munte aparținătoare orașului Cugir, Floricica Domnica Ciucur a reușit să adune toate detaliile și motivele tradiționale din acea zonă și să le transpună în broderiile sale, ducând mai departe tradiția neamului nostru, costumul popular, icoana, mărțișoarele, pernuțele decorative și multe altele. ”Îmi doresc să continui cu acest proiect ce l-am început, tare drag mie și chiar dacă lucrez de acasă, unde am și un atelier micuț, îmi dedic tot timpul pasiunii mele din copilărie, brodatul.” – Floricica Domnica Ciucur
Floricica Domnica Ciucur started this passion out of love for folk costumes about 3 years ago. Having experience in tailoring, sewing and embroidery, since childhood Mrs. Floricica has long wanted to create her own clothing and handicrafts, all with traditional motifs. Working by hand and with an embroidery machine, she started to collect as many embroidery patterns as she could and to make the authentic folk costume as she wanted, with all the traditional details and motifs. Born in Mugești, in a mountain area belonging to the town of Cugir, Floricica Domnica Ciucur managed to collect all the details and traditional motifs of that area and to transpose them into her embroideries, carrying forward the tradition of our people, the folk costume, the icon, the little beads, the decorative pillows and many others.
