Joanne Montebello is the creator of Burlesque Candles, which she originally founded in 2006 in Australia and brought to Malta in 2012. Initially produced as a hobby for Christmas gifts for family and friends, her range of products are now also sold at Artisan Markets, selected gift and beauty stores, and online. Joanne formally had a successful career in the beauty and fragrance industry in Australia where she held positions of international make up artist, sales, training, and promotions manager for various prestigious houses. Her love of luxury products was always evident; however, her goal was to create something beautiful and environmentally-friendly from natural and safe ingredients, using only the best quality soy waxes, carrier oils, and natural fragrances. Joanne still sources her fragrances from Australia and blends them together herself in her workshop in Mosta. All the Burlesque products are handmade from only the very finest of ingredients. 99% of the packaging is recyclable with jars and bottles all refillable.
