Michelle Gialanze Ph.d (a.ka.Mixa b. Malta, 1968) is an established, award winning artist based in Malta, France and London. Mixa is a narrative artist. Her work develops through the stages of: reflection, research, contemplation, experimentation and finally production. The work always intertwines color and layers to reflect subjects which are core to her. The paintings illustrate a richly personal insight as her work revolves around IDENTITY, how it is created, formed, portrayed, and understood.
