Emilia Maria Constantin Acum peste 10 ani, eu lucram în Italia, eram badantă, am fost într-un târg de Crăciun și am văzut acolo un stand care mirosea extraordinar. M-a dus acasă, am început să citesc despre ce ar trebui să fac să cultiv lavandă. Când am revenit în România, am luat o lavandă și un rozmarin cu mine. Așa am început. Apoi am cumpărat butași de la cineva din Târgu Mureș, nu s-a prins nimic, dar eram tânără și ambiția m-a motivat să merg înainte. Am găsit o veche cultură a României, în Timișoara, de acolo am luat din nou butași. Prima cultură pe care am înființat-o a fost în anul 2013, pe o suprafață de 8.000 metri pătrați, în comuna Budești, județul Vâlcea. Ulterior, în anul 2015, am reușit să ne extindem cu încă un hectar. Acum, avem plantație în Budești și Stoilești, ambele în județul Vâlcea. Soiul de lavandă Codreanca are o culoare puternică, un mov închis, iar impactul este foarte mare printre cei care cumpără. Lucrez împreună cu soțul meu. Copilul nu mai lucrează cu noi, după pandemie a fost greu, noi am zis să nu îi stricăm viitorul, a plecat și s-a angajat. Producem și vindem în prezent, în cadrul târgurilor și piețelor, flori de lavandă verde, săculeți cu lavandă uscată, aranjamente florale cu lavandă, ulei esențial, apă de lavandă, săpun cu lavandă, precum și butași de lavandă celor care doresc să-și inființeze propriile culturi. Nu este ușor, implică muncă, uneori fără pauză, dar dacă pui suflet poți face orice, iar cea mai mare satisfacție o reprezintă produsele, florile, mirosul, toate acestea ne fac să mergem înainte.
Emilia Maria Constantin Over ten years ago, I was working in Italy, I was in elderly care (badanta), I was in a Christmas market and I saw a stand there that smelled amazing. At home, I started reading about what I should do to grow lavender. When I returned to Romania, I took a lavender and a rosemary with me. That's how I started. Then I bought cuttings from someone in Târgu Mureș, nothing caught, but I was young and ambition motivated me to move forward. I found an old culture of Romania, in Timișoara, from there I took cuttings again. The first groing we established was in 2013, on an area of 8,000 square meters, in Budești commune, Vâlcea county. Later, in 2015, we managed to expand by another hectare. Now, we have a plantation in Budești and Stoilești, both in Vâlcea county. The Codreanca lavender variety has a strong color, a dark purple, and the impact is very high among those who buy it. I work together with my husband. The child no longer works with us, after the pandemic it was difficult, we said not to spoil his future, he left and got a job. We currently produce and sell at fairs and markets green lavender flowers, dried lavender sachets, lavender flower arrangements, essential oil, lavender water, lavender soap, as well as lavender cuttings to those who want to start their own crops. It is not easy, it involves work, sometimes non-stop, but if you put your heart into it, you can do anything, and the greatest satisfaction is the products, the flowers, the smell, all of these make us move forward.
