Saima Murtaza is an artist and ideator at Enigma – House of Fashion & Design. Since childhood, she was fascinated by traditional and folk art, and she always wanted to somehow transform and mix heritage with modern art. She mixes different media and focuses on putting them in the best colour combinations. For the last 10 years, she has been designing wire sculptures and Pakistani truck-art inspired metallic souvenirs. After coming to Malta, filigree caught her attention due to its intricate detail and traditional touch. She thus started learning filigree and is now trying to improve her skills in order to create her own unique conglomeration between truck-art and filigree. Training Masters Degree in Fine Arts, Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, Pakistan; Diploma in Textile and Fashion Designing, Iqra University Islamabad, Pakistan; Diploma in Glass Painting, Fabric Painting, and Stocking Flower Making.
