Silvia Marcias ha sempre provato una forte attrazione verso l’arte e la moda. Dopo essersi laureata in Disegno Tessile a Firenze ha conseguito un master in Design Materials a Milano e svariati altri corsi che hanno attraversato quasi tutti gli aspetti legati al settore; dal modellismo ad Empoli alla pelletteria allo IED, dagli smart textiles all’ Università di Prato alle fibre nobili a Biella, dalla tessitura manuale a Firenze alle stampe a mano e digitali alla Central Saint Martins. Prima di trasferirsi definitivamente in Sardegna la sua occupazione era quella di disegnatrice tessile in ufficio stile ma, fibre, corde ed intrecci sono sempre stati una parte fondamentale dei suoi studi e della sua vita. Ciò che cerca di costruire nel presente con MARSILLE MACRAME’ è un progetto artigianale che racconti di se e del posto in cui ha deciso di vivere, intessendo rapporti professionali e di amicizia con altri artigiani, artisti ed amatori.
Silvia Marcias has always felt a strong attraction towards art and fashion. After graduating in Textile Design in Florence she obtained a master's degree in Design Materials in Milan and various other courses that have crossed almost all aspects related to the fashion field ; from pattern cutter in Empoli to leather goods at the IED, from smart textiles at the University of Prato to fine fibers in Biella, from hand weaving in Florence to hand and digital prints at the Central Saint Martins. Before moving permanently to Sardinia, she was a print textile designer but, fibers, ropes and weaves have always been a fundamental part of her studies and her life. What she tries to build in the present with MARSILLE MACRAME is an artisanal project that tells about herself and about the place where she has decided to live, establishing professional relationships and friendships with other craftsmen, artists and amateurs.
